About Chris Smith

Over the last 4 years I have immersed myself in a process of change, channeling my energy in socially responsible ventures as well as gaining a relevant education.

I am a trained communications consultant, teaching charities, NGOs and individuals to maximize the internet.

Working as an Energy Champion as part of a Community Service Volunteer project I have met many people in council & housing association properties which has given me hands on experience of the issues they face.

Green credentials include setting up Ecotube, the Green Youtube (www.ecotube.co.uk) ,documenting many protest events on films (including Royal Bank of Scotland, London City Airport & Copenhagen).

I consider myself an activist & campaigner first and foremost.

I graduated from Bath University with a Masters in Ethics and Business Responsibility in 2008. This has given me an invaluable insight into the issues facing our society today.

Recently I ran a campaign to provide road safety in Brick Lane during busy market days with some success.

I consider myself to be a lateral thinker, fast to learn and grasp seemingly complex issues in a simplified way. In my opinion global issues are local ones.

To quote Einstein ‘The mind that created the problem cannot solve the problem’. We need new solutions to old problems at a local and national government level.
